That's true, for sure, but the fact is that you have been picking very 'fortuitously' shall we say.   lol  Another wild weekend on tap I think. Will Dallas sit their key players, will the Bears, etc., etc.  ...............  Will they win even so?  AAAARRRGGGGHHH

WEEK 16 RESULTS

Start it, finish it................

skwanderer takes the regular season with back to back 13 - 3 weeks. All in all it was fun, it was crazy, it was another unreal NFL season. My Bears came through, big time. Others fizzled, Mahomes lit up the whole year breaking records as he went. Anyway, now it's PLAYOFFS.

I see TITAN has returned after sitting the last game out. There should be a fine for such behavior.  lol

Will mickey have a go?

ooooh, we almost agree.

Colts

Cowboys

Ravens

Bears

Chargers are good, but at Baltimore and that Lamar Jackson guys seems to have given the Ravens quite a lift. Also I think that the Seahawks aren't nearly as good as advertised, think Dallas should be able to take care of them pretty easily.

Cowboy's defense played lights out! I was surprised, never realized they were that good. I have a huge dislike for their organization and as a result I kind of ignore them as much as possible during the year. Now, I hope Rivers stays on his roll he's got going this year. skwanderer, what are you doing? Phila.?........ Bears are going to wipe the floor with them. I guess you haven't seen the Bears play lately? Uhhhhh....remember when the mighty Rams came to town? The 'D' is better now Scary

Impressive display by the Cowboy's defense but the real surprise was the Seahawk's insistence to run the football when the Cowboy defense clearly had that part of the Seattle offense shut down. The Seahawks had much better luck passing but for some reason continued for the most part running the football. Good for Dallas, bad for the Seahawks.

I honestly didn't believe the Cowboys would win but picked them on a hope and prayer and for the same reason, I'll pick the Cowpokes over the Rams. Another miracle in the making.

Disappointed in the Bears, had it in their hand and gave it away, a relatively easy field goal pooched to the left.

Divisional playoffs:

KC

Dallas

LA Chargers

New Orleans

I'm devestated, still digesting that finish. It was a good defensive battle, Phila surprised me keeping it that close, but we did enough to get out of there with a hard fought win. Then Parkey did what was practically impossible. Made the first one right down the middle, and then hit the upright on the second kick.......mind boggling, devestating, unreal.............!@#$%^&*()_~!@#$%^&*()

2 undefeated tonight going for the championship. Alabama vs Clemson Should be a good game. I think there has never been an undefeated National Champion till now. Who will it be?

Really surprised by how easily Clemson handled Alabama.

Sorry about the Bears, EZ. Tough way to lose. Literally a case of "that's the way the ball bounces". Hitting the upright wasn't enough, then the cross bar too? Dang.

I am NOT going to pick the Eagles against Drew Brees at home. New Orleans should win pretty easily I think.

I am tempted to agree with TP and go with the Cowboys, but I will assume that the Rams are real enough that they can beat what I put as a C+ team (I thought the Hawks were just C).

I think Tommy Boy will be going home early this year, I'm a believer in the Chargers!

And while I wish Andrew Luck well, I think the Chiefs are just too loaded for him.

Picked up a book today at the library called "Gridiron Genius", by Mike Lombardi, about how to build dynasties, when I wn that huge Powerball lottery and buy the Steelers will have my game plan all ready to go. :-)

Screw it, I'm going with my heart. I'd like to see Luck and the Colts shut down Mahones. The Rams will avenge their last year's first round exit. I'm pulling for Phillip Rivers to complete this fairy tale season to cap his awesome career. I don't like either the Saints or the Eagles but I think the Saints will beat the Eagles.

The one small feather for Dallas, they did manage to win one playoff game but their defense against the Rams never showed up, their offense did a reasonable job against the Rams just not enough firepower in the end. All in all, a decent season for the Cowpokes to build on.

The Colts, whoo boy, they stunk up the joint, not much of an offense and even less defense.

Big letdown on the Chargers' part, just crummy all the way around. The Pats weren't that good it's just that the Chargers really were that bad.

Philly had a chance to pull it out but one pass through the hands of their receiver and right into the hands of a Saints' defender, interception and game over. Tough break for the Eagles and hopefully a real shootout between the Rams and Saints coming up.

Gonna go with the Rams in the upcoming divisional playoff, the Saints high octane offense seems to be missing in action these last several games while the Rams offense is still clicking and their defense playing well.

Gotta go with the Chiefs over the Pats, too much firepower for the Pats to handle but the KC defense doesn't exactly set the world on fire, could be another high scoring game but homefield advantage for KC might make the difference in a close game.

Brady and Belichick did it again, they devised a game plan for the Chargers and the players stepped up and executed it. Same story every year with these guys. They start the season witha long range plan for the year and by playoff time, usually they are ready. The team on the field yesterday has little resemblance to the team that started the season. Great football organozation from top to bottom and I really look forward to seeing their game plan for KC, it should be good. I'm thinking Patriots vs Rams in SB.

Colts went flat, KC played unusually good on defense too. I think the Pats will show everyone how it can be done with KC, but as he has shown us all year, Mahomes can never be counted out. The kid is amazing

Rams are clicking at home, the Saints are still dangerous though. I say Rams, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Saints hold on for a close victory.

Eight championship games in a row. Damn. All the excuses in the world from advocates of other teams, but I think 8 championships in a row makes it pretty close to saying that Brady and Belichek are the best ever in their respective roles. I've defended and advocated for Joe for a long time, but it's the consistency, year after year, in an age when parity is DESIGNED into the league, that really makes this stand out. Eddie D could buy the best players--as he did for Steve Young, incompetent to bring the Niners their fifth--until Eddie bought Deion and Ken Norton Jr. Can't do that anymore. So to remain on top, year after year, in this day and age, that just puts them I think head and shoulders above others. No disrespect to Joe. I think he still has a slight edge in that he played in a much tougher era of football, but I'm just not sure anymore that edge outweighs the fucking consistency of Bill and Tom. That said, to the games. I sure would like to see Andy get a ring and Mahomes represent the changing of the guard, but frankly if I had a dollar for everytime I predicted the Patsie to lose and they won, I would bet it all on the Patsies to win again. That and the Fates wove Andy Reid's life long ago: always a bridesmaid, never a bride. As for NO-Rams, Brees' experience, playing at home, and the fact that I do think they're due to put up the kind of game TP noted they haven't been doing lately, makes this one for me a, NO-Brainer.
