Science.

EO Wilson has been recommended, and others. Scientists who write for the masses, to the extent that there might be masses of smart and curious people who aren't all that well educated.... I want suggestions of authors who attack human nature and experience, and the science that underlies their presentations.

Someone who is trying to compile the latest themes across various disciplines would be appreciated.

There are quite a few books I like from some of the greatest minds - of their time and their work is still valid today....

Ideas and Opinions by Albert Einstein

A brief HIstory of Time - Stephen Hawkins

What is life - Erwin Schrodinger

Physics and Philosophy:  The revolution in MOdern science - Werner Heisenberg

the New Quantum world -  Hey and Walters

The periodic table -  Primo Levi

Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica --  Sir Isaac Newton

Archimedes

Astronomia nova, Harmonices Mundi, and Epitome of Copernican Astronomy - Johannes Kepler

These are just a few of my favorites.... and these men have revolutionalized science at the times of their lives...

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.....except for the election of Donald Trump.

This book explained so much that I was relieved, just to understand how it happened: Merchants of Doubt: How a Handful of Scientists Obscured the Truth on Issues from Tobacco Smoke to Global Warming Paperback – May 24, 2011. I first encountered one of the authors on C-Span; she was remarkable. On my way to find that, I encountered this which might be of interest; it’s on my wish list: Doubt: A History: The Great Doubters and Their Legacy of Innovation from Socrates and Jesus to Thomas Jefferson and Emily Dickinson Paperback – September 7, 2004 by Jennifer Michael Hecht (Author)
