I've noticed we can no longer use Photobucket without charge for posting images from PC.  Which I'm not willing to do.  The app is horrible as it is, so ad infested and slow it's not worth having.  (Click on photobucket icon and image icon in editor menu - neither can be used)
It's also possible to use Youtube to create a slide show or even single image but that too is super cumbersome.

How are members posting personal images now?  Does anyone know of other workaround methods?

And, Yek, your photos of your travels are beautiful, but I must say, they remind me a little of my mother's photos of her travels, although yours are so much more artistic in their framing, lighting and such, because she never takes photos of herself or anyone that we know, just the beautiful scenery.....so that one day when she's gone, the photos will have no significance to anyone who inherits them.

On the subject of posting photos, I've never had a problem with that, but have had problems posting videos that are not from youtube.  If anyone knows that secret, please share!

Yes Doe, and ty. She's beautiful, altho I'm not sure what coming into a world addicted to heroin might be like, she is full term and the doc says happy and healthy (considering) and we're all hoping she can come home with mom next week, and mom is doing as well as can be expected.

Oh bless her heart, and what a struggle your daughter must be going through.  It's hard enough to be a new mother, much less dealing with an addiction, and one of the hardest to kick.  I wish you ALL the best of luck and love, I seriously do.  I hope that you live near them so that you can give her support, because she is going to need it.  I love love love being a grandparent, you have a special bond with grandchildren that you didn't have time for, with your children, because you were so busy providing the basic needs and teaching them all they need to know.  With grandchildren, that responsibility lies with the parents and we get to have all the fun.

BTW, I've ridden around in GTOs like the one in your photo dunjuz, and a whole lot of other muscle cars.....almost every boy I knew in high school had a GTO, a 396 Chevelle, a Roadrunner, a Camaro, a Mustang, a Charger, etc.  Even my best friend drove a Cobra and my mother had a Mustang (I learned to drive in her Mustang, 3 on the floor).

And my sister and brother-in-law both had Mercedes like the one pictured from what I can see.  Hers was gold and his was a metallic baby blue, both removable hard tops.

It's interesting what subjects people choose to post photos of.....Yek, her travels to BEAUTIFUL places, Skwanderer, places he's been during his work and travel, and his home, and dunjuz, the cars that he watches over for his employer.  It reflects our interests I would think; the things we take photos of, for the most part.  I like food.....thus my posting food photos.  So, here goes........I had a tomato I had picked from the garden the other day, which I had intended to have for supper, which didn't happen.......so I went out to the herb garden and picked some fresh basil and married the two along with fresh mozzarella and balsamic vinegar.  I love this salad and the only time you can get it around here, that it tastes worth a damn, is now, in the summer. Other people look forward to fresh corn, or watermelons, or even peaches and strawberries......but me, it's about the basil and tomatoes.

I'm thinking of making pesto with the basil for a pasta dish tonight.

Thank you Doe Eyes, Skrumpie.  Love to share them.
Stunning and delectable images, Doe Eyes as always - colors are so vivid.  Envious of your garden's bounty, as I've mentioned - I can grow a few things in containers on balcony (tomatoes, herbs) but haven't gotten arund to it of late.  Caprese is best salad in the world with fresh ingredients.

Observation our photos reflect what's important, what interests us, what we care about is so true - I've loved pet pictures in here too.  You posted one Skrumpie of your once-bedraggled rescue kitty, sleek and in a regal pose, can't recall her name but remember the image.  More than that we're humanized for one another, too easy to forget in heat of battle.

On travel pics of self - I'm not a selfie fan, have taken a couple - but my indian-ness seems to be more and more pronounced meaning nose looks huge plus the fishbowl effect doesn't help. And I would die before I used a selfie stick. So those are few and far between.  I understand it's a myth your nose actually grows when older, it's that rest of your face kind of collapses and schnoz just appears larger. However it's not a myth that earlobes grow and droop. Joys of aging. Lol.  Sometimes I recruit someone who looks obliging, doesn't look busy to snap a picture - so I have quite a few of these in virtual albums.

One post-journey activity that's almost as good as being there is going over all the photos, culling the repeats or the 'what was I thinking?' ones, editing the keepers and finding some detail in an image not registered when taking it that makes it inadvertantly special.

Doe Eyes, you can upload your videos to YouTube - at upper right of screen, there's an upload arrow.  Click on it, find the video file and select it. You'll be taken to screen where various options are shown, and the progress of the upload as it completes process.  It takes a while, but there's nothing to it.  You can also edit and add music and text if you want.  Privacy settings can be chosen - so if you don't want your video seen by the public, or want to work on it after clicking 'publish' choose 'private' and change later if desired.

Just did this one - took about 10 minutes to upload.<iframe width="425" height="355" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hjYkq1-MYdI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe>

Speaking of travel photo rejects and accidentally captured images - I managed to record an almost 10 minute video of what I finally figured out was the inside of my coat pocket while walking uphill on gravel path.  The audio was of crunching footsteps, increasingly labored breathing, snatches of ambient conversations from nearby pedestrians. Screen showed a murky darkness kind of jostling around.  Drains battery, big time.

I found this fascinating because of the way pedestrians were parting, like a river going around a sand berm or something around the prostrate beggar. Gave him a wide berth.

Remaining segments of the wall surrounding the Krakow ghetto, with memorial plaque.

Here they lived, suffered and perished at the hands of Hitler's executioners. From here they began their final journey to the death camps

The Kraków Ghetto was one of five major, metropolitan Jewish ghettos created by Nazi Germany in the new General Government territory during the German occupation of Poland in World War II. It was established for the purpose of exploitation, terror, and persecution of local Polish Jews, as well as the staging area for separating the "able workers" from those who would later be deemed unworthy of life.[1] The Ghetto was liquidated between June 1942 and March 1943, with most of its inhabitants sent to their deaths at Bełżec extermination camp as well as Płaszów slave-labor camp,[2] and Auschwitz concentration camp, 60 kilometres (37 mi) rail distance.[3]  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krak%C3%B3w_Ghetto

While skrump spent her days here, posting her one liners, I did a little canning of tomatoes from the garden.  They will be great in spaghetti sauces, vegetable soups and chili this winter.
And before Easy jumps on my case that fresh is so much better than preserved, cooked tomatoes are higher in lycopene than raw tomatoes.  Lycopene is good for preventing cancer and keeps you heart healthy.

Nothing prettier in the pantry than those mason jars filled with fruits (or vegetables) of your own labor. " Vegetables of your labor" somehow doesn't have same ring as the usual, does it?  Lol.

Speaking of mason jars, I've read that they're a hot item in the collectibles world.  Some vintage jars are going for big bucks.

Certain Mason and other brand name canning jars have always been collectible, and of course the rarer, the more in demand.  I've got a few of the old blue Ball jars, but not because they are collectible but because they are hand me downs from family.  My sister used to own an antique store before moving to L.A., but always dealt in more furniture and finer pieces than canning jars and everyday items.  Funny how household items, if kept long enough, can become collectibles.  I wonder if my almost 45 year old toaster is collectible yet!  LOL

And, since tomatoes are a technically a fruit, I guess you could say the photo is of "the fruits of my labor".

I was thinking about that section of the wall that was left from the old ghetto in Poland, if not for it's purpose, it actually is a pretty wall.  How could people make something so pretty for something so evil.

Keep that toaster!

Similar reaction to the image, Doe Eyes.  It makes it even more poignant.  Auschwitz is nearby, but I chose not to go, having visited Dachau 40 years ago.  Once was enough.  It was the sight of a small memorial garden with bright flowers and plaque just outside the grim, compound, with its row of barracks and chimney we'd just toured.  The garden was straw, emotionally - broke down and sobbed (I am not given to public demonstrations of grief).  Something about seeing the physical setting of all that suffering makes the reality manifest in a way accounts and descriptions can't.

Schindler's factory is also in Krakow - drove by, but didn't go inside as it was closed on that day. Visiting the city again on last leg of upcoming trip, so if I have enough time will take tour.

Ed - to change line "given to public demonstrations of grief" to "NOT given ..." to underscore impact, an involuntary reaction that blindsided me. Will never forget that.

A few weeks to go.  Crossed Kiev, Ukraine off itinerary as unwise.  I'll still visit Lviv, far to the west of armed conflict and close to Polish border.  So, it's down to Stockholm as entry and exit destination, Riga, Latvia; Dublin, Ireland; Palma, Mallorca (Spain); Vienna, Austria; Timisoara, Romania; Lviv, Ukraine; Krakow, Poland once again as I want to explore more there.  Only making brief stays in Dublin, Palma and Vienna as they're not exactly low-budget

Ha, gotcha beat again.  I still have my mother's waffle iron, (electric) that she bought at Sears in 1954, I got a new cord for it on E-bay and it still works perfect.  My favorite sewing machine was Grandma's "Red-eye" circa 1908, that my mother had converted to electric, and it sews better than my 3000 dollar Janome Horizon!

No, I haven't Segovia.  Andorra, NE Spain is a region I haven't yet visited.
My preference is for milder thrills, such as climbing atop cathedral or castle. :-) Might like to try zip lining though.  Son and wife just did that in Hawaii and loved it - however, DIL is so tiny, she got stuck about 200 ft from landing platform, her weight insufficient to maintain momentum. Had to dangle there until help arrived.  No danger of that happening to me.  Lol.

Pretty certain Swanderer's intent was sarcasm.  There were some militants in Krakow who blew up a bunch of Nazi officers in a cafe, uprising quickly and mercilessly quelled, unfortunately.
