I've noticed we can no longer use Photobucket without charge for posting images from PC.  Which I'm not willing to do.  The app is horrible as it is, so ad infested and slow it's not worth having.  (Click on photobucket icon and image icon in editor menu - neither can be used)
It's also possible to use Youtube to create a slide show or even single image but that too is super cumbersome.

How are members posting personal images now?  Does anyone know of other workaround methods?

This image is for April......look people in the photo.  Here's a photo of my granddaughter driving my husband up our farm lane in our golf cart.

Gosh, Jeanne, posting photos is now a "protest"?  Protesting what?  What is it about my photo above that bothers you?

A few weeks to go.  Crossed Kiev, Ukraine off itinerary as unwise.  I'll still visit Lviv, far to the west of armed conflict and close to Polish border.  So, it's down to Stockholm as entry and exit destination, then Riga, Latvia; Dublin, Ireland; Palma, Mallorca (Spain); Vienna, Austria; Timisoara, Romania; Lviv, Ukraine; Krakow, Poland once again as I want to explore more there.  Only making brief stays in Dublin, Palma and Vienna as they're not exactly low-budget

Minor tweaks to itinerary but basically the same and departure is imminent.  Not much left to do but pack, which I can now do speedily and with military precision.  As always, feel like a kid on Christmas Eve, and can focus on little else. :-)
First time in Ireland, and will be staying in Dublin in Temple Bar neighborhood near Trinity College, St. Patricks Cathedral.  Bringing earplugs, as there's a bar on ground floor of hotel. Visitors who've reviewed their stay report noisy revelry, but fun. (It's Ireland!)  As someone who routinely doesn't drift off til 2 or 3, it'll be tolerable.

I'd love to hear of impressions/suggestions from Skwanderer and other travelers who've visited Dublin, Riga, Mallorca or Lviv.

Dublin and Mallorca only two I've seen.  IN Dublin I stayed at a Westbury hotel on Grafton street.  Good street lots of good stuff and a short walk to happening areas with pubs....which is kind of my style.  I didn't do much but eat or drink in Dublin.   It is a gritty city with various strings of economic hard times, mixed with modern and eclectic.  Love the people if you can understand them.  I find that three beers is the magic number to understand them perfectly.

I could get very excited to go back to Mallorca.  Loaded with boutique hotels and spas and some are not too bad (better than 200 euros).  They claim to have Mallorcan food but it looks like Mediterranean tapas to me....its all good.  Big on fresh fish and paella. I would say go diving but that is me. Some good wrecks and caves and their version of blue grotto. There are a variety of boat and kayak tours in Palma de Mallorca to see caves and other stuff.  I'd do that for sure.  I didn't do that myself but went diving in one of the caves.  I ate about three thousand olives in a few days.

Thanks Skwanderer!  Yes, that's my impression of Dublin as well (gritty), and I know the River Liffey is no beauty as the Danube or Vltava, etc.  I read a lot of Irish authors, such as John Banville. Have picked up some sense of the place through those descriptions but nothing beats being there. Eating, drinking, suits me fine!  Wish I were more of a beer drinker though.
Excited about Mallorca, know what you mean about ubiquitous olives.  Often they're gratis with drinks (pinchos) as you likely know.  Wish I dove as you do, so as to take advantage of that aspect of island.  Slightly touristy, but that's OK, fun in its own way.  I found a lot of interesting monuments, fortresses from various websites to see too - its history includes Moorish occupation.

Definitely my pleasure, Codify and thank you!  It was an especially educational and also beautiful journey, punctuated by a couple of minor (in retrospect, natch!) frustrating mishaps for variety.  :-)

Prague looks beautiful. For some reason about the only place in Europe I wanna see in person one day.

Maybe Portugal.

Budapest is even better, imo.  I could live there happily - last fall, spent a month and still had things I wanted to see and do

I've only visited Lisbon once for a few days in 2004.  Very hilly city!  I came in by bus from the south.  As you approach the city it looks strikingly like SF.  Stayed in an older building, on fifth floor with an old-fashioned lift about the size of a telephone booth, you could see the cable which looked frayed, not in good repair.  Between city terrain of steep inclines and hotel got a lot of exercise, as I didn't trust the lift.  Also recall thinking my Spanish would be enough to get along in Portuguese.  It wasn't. Lol.  Food in general was fresh and good, but bland.

But this is the reason Portugal rates a visit. As long as I'm stuck in that old elevator with her.

Beautiful Yek!  I was just in Lisbon last month...just on a long layover, but enough time to do a city tour and have lunch.  It did remind me a bit of SF, but with a more European flair.   That is very ambitious itinerary...I'm jealous!  I've too have been to Dublin...on St Paddy's Day.  A once in a lifetime experience.  Lol.

I have to say one more thing, once my last name was known in Portugal, they would think I was royalty. A port wine producer shares my last name.

Thanks, QZ! I wouldn't mind returning to Portugal, actually - maybe along Algarve.
Stay in Dublin (only three days) was brief, and unfortunately somewhat tainted by nightmare hotel experience involving incredible noise, stained and threadbare carpet and non-working toilets. Fire alarm went off (worst fears confirmed, KNEW it was a firetrap, but no, flooded room somewhere triggered sensors).  I won't go on.  It was inexpensive by Dublin standards but let's just say I've been in lodging about 4X nicer, cleaner, all-around more comfy for 3X less in Spain, Central and Eastern Europe.  A complete tip, as the Brits say.  Managed to get one night knocked off for inconvenience.

Loved the Irish Music at Temple Bar, St. Patrick's cathedral though - can imagine how it was on St. Paddy's day.  Perhaps another time, and more of Ireland.

No reason you can't see them all! Prague and Budapest are close enough to bus or train, and intra-euro flights are really cheap.
Really wouldn't try the elevator thing, unless you're aiming for romantic plunge to death.  Lol.

That time will arrive sooner than you think Codify.  :-)  No time like the present. Howsomever, I realize when you're employed, married, have young children it's a lot more difficult to make long journeys, not to mention the expense.  A big advantage of an open, flexible schedule is that you can take advantage of lowest fares.

Meeting a live-aboard dive vessel in Yap, 3 days to the atoll from Yap.

https://www.oceanhunter.com/oh3/en/oh3.html

It will be my 4th trip to Yap.  Returning via Palau, 3rd visit to Palau.  I love the WWII sites. It is all work however.  Very hard work. Brutal work.   Will need to get my underwater cameras ready for diving.

We have the vessel with 18 berths and there are only two of us going....with staff to cook and fill our tanks and provide dive support.
