And that is how one keeps the sheep in place - a little knowledge is a glorious way of doing that.

Author demonstrates that in the article linked below. And of course, it is not just true with the topic of origins.

https://evolutionnews.org/2018/05/for-selling-evolution-a-little-knowledge-is-a-glorious-thing/

because in my experience, many Americans accept evolution because they are uninformed. That is, they have heard the popular arguments for the theory but have encountered little if any of the strongest evidence against it.

Even many highly educated evolutionists betray a curious ignorance of evidence against evolution, evidence that sits in plain sight both in and beyond the peer-reviewed literature.

" It’s also just right to know that the fossil record suggests that the history of life on Earth moves from microbes to larger, brainless life forms on the ocean floor, to sophisticated sea creatures in the Cambrian, to land animals and now humans. But it’s too much to further learn that the pattern of the fossil record is one in which new animal body plans appear suddenly. It’s equally unhelpful to learn that even some leading paleontologists view this as a major unsolved problem for evolution, not something to be blithely waved away be vague talk of an incomplete fossil record.

This problem is so unhelpful for selling evolution that Darwinists in Texas tried to remove it from the state biology standards last year. (I know, because I was there during the hearings.) This information about the pattern of the fossil record, you see, makes for papa bear porridge — too hot for impressionable young minds to taste. "

That is a good excerpt from the article.  There are several others.

Frankly the article reminded of several folk here on this forum.

This is the thread where Tomas states there is strong evidence against evolution and after 17 pages, still hasn't presented any of this "evidence"

Do you know what is strong evidence for it Tomas?  Actual verified corroboration of evolution of new species witnessed and documented by multiple people many times.

The article starts with this:

Many Americans reject evolution, the paper suggests, because they’re uninformed.

They have opened with an introduction to Tomas and Wale, working together all night with a tutor and they still would have no idea what evolution says.   The two of them are perhaps the most willfully ignorant people about the science of evolution I have ever met.

The fossil record is one in which some animal forms are well preserved and show a steady slow progression of evolution with many transitional forms.  Some appear "suddenly" because 1) we haven't yet found the transitional fossils, 2) fossils form only rarely and the transitionals may not be found, or 3) some forms appear to us suddenly in the geological record because the earth was in dramatic change period....such as the Cambrian.....a fast changing climate.  Speciation occurs at pace dictated not just by mutation or other epigenetic factors, the changing or static environment dictates the speed of evolution.  Mammals exploded onto the scene after dinosaurs were killed by the K-T meteor 65 million years ago.  These are facts.  You can believe in God and Jesus, but life started here with bacteria about 3.5 billion years ago and dinosaurs crawled around until about 65 million years ago when mammals stsarted their run and primate humanoids came about 1-2 million years ago. These are facts.  Supported by sophisticated isochronic dating methods, mitochondrial DNA analysis, biogeography, the fossil record, and more.

The fossil record alone is quite convincing although unnecessary.  There are many fairly complete lines of transitional fossils.  That some animals appear suddenly, especially during the Cambrian, is expected, not unusual

The fossil record is not even needed to verify evolution.  It has been observed among living animals and plants.  The genetic record verifies it, the geologic record of plate tectonics and the biogeography of animals proves it.  There are about 5 or 6 solid lines of factual evidence that all converge on the same answer.  Evoluiton.

The fact of evolution is no longer a question in the modern world.  Those who do not want to see the facts are delusional idiots who have no desire to understand what the science of evolution teaches ….like Tomas and Wale.  They only post what their religious leaders write in their ignorance as well.  C'est la vie

By acknowledging the Cambrian explosion and using it as your argument against evolution.....you are actually accepting evolution.

The Cambrian explosion was 541 million years ago.  All the life forms that appeared in the fossil record rapidly 540 million years ago are NONE of the life forms here today.  So is your argument that God created a bunch of life forms 540 million years ago, then decided he didn't like them and killed them all and created some new ones after the dinosaurs??

This is where we start 17 pages of posts where Tomas writes zero posts with any "knowledge" or "evidence" that supports his opening topic that discusses how "being informed" is the key.

Inform us then Tomas.  Inform us of the knowledge that says evolution is false since I, as a biological scientist, apparently accept evolution without knowing anything about it.

YOU just can't get over the fact that SUPERIOR scientists, BECAUSE of SCIENCE, say there is ORDER in the creation and a HAND behind the CREATION, unless you are going to tell us YOU are MORE brilliant than Einstein or KAKU, LOL.

MAYBE you just can't read or hear, LOL and are really not as stupid as your posts.

" If I knew the answer to, uh, life I would have an inside track up there. But let me tell you how we physicists view things, for example ,
Einstein was asked the big question, is there a god?
is there a meaning to everything, right? Here is how Einstein answered the question. There really are two kinds of gods. We have to be very scientific, we have to define what you mean by God. If God is the god of intervention, the personal god ,the god of prayer, the god who parts the waters, then he had a hard time believing in that. Would god listen to all our prayers
for a bicycle for Christmas or smite the Philistines for me please. He didn't think so; however, he believed in the god of order,
harmony, beauty, simplicity and elegance, the god of Spinoza. That's the god he believed in because he thought the universe was SO
gorgeous, it didn't have to be that way. It could have been chaotic. it could have been ugly, messy.
But here we have the fact that
all the equations of physics can all be placed on a single sheet of paper. Einstein's equation is only one inch long, and the quantum
theory is about a yard long... but you can squeeze it onto a sheet of paper, and with STRING THOERY you can even put those two together.
AND string theory can be squeezed into an equation one inch long, and THAT equation by the way is MY equation. That's string field theory.
That's my contribution. But we want to know where did that equation come from. THIS is what Einstein asked "did God have a choice?",
was there any choice in building a universe? when he woke up in the morning he would say 'I am going to build a universe',
'I'm going to be God today', 'what kind of universe would I create?', this is how he created much of his theories." - Michio Kaku
