What's funny, Lilia, is that if I asked you, you couldn't explain in your own words, if your life depended on it, one case that illustrates how Kavanaugh's jurisprudence improves your or anyone else's lives. I feel an incredible pity for people like you, to whom politics is your version of sports, but who are so stupid they do not understand the beliefs and consequences of their favorite laundry's political positions. In any event, it's a transitory victory at best. If anything, it helps Dems, and, more important from my perspective, lays the groundwork, through necessity, of serious SCOTUS reform.

From what I was just reading, apparently the confirmation can help the GOP in the Senate, and the Democratic party in the House.

Its not an SC judges job to improve your life. His job is to interpret and apply the Constitution that was written to protect our rights. I realize that many on the left think it is these judges job to improve our lives by ignoring the Constitution and legislating a liberal agenda from bench. An agenda that could never be passed if it relied on the will of the people.

I feel an incredible pity for people like you, to whom politics is your version of sports, but who are so stupid they do not understand the beliefs and consequences of their favorite laundry's political positions.

We don't want or need the pity of people like you. We feel pity for people who can't win at the polls and must rely on last minute dirty tricks, lies, liberal lawyers, and the courts to get their way. McCarthyism has reared its ugly head once again, only to be defeated once again by decent people. These liars went all-in to destroy an innocent man for poltical expediency and exposed to the American people just how low they were willing to go.

If anything, it helps Dems, and, more important from my perspective, lays the groundwork, through necessity, of serious SCOTUS reform.

It remains to be seen if it helps the Dems or not. My take is it showed how despicable these people really are. Them and the MSM and Hollywood too. SCOTUS reform? What reforms are those, letting liberals have their way. It's hilarious to listen to these crybabies talking reform right after they just lost the SCOTUS. If anything needs to be reformed it is how these dispicable losers turned the confirmation process into a circus.

What is it with socialists, marxists, and communists that whenever things don't go their way, whenever they lose, all the rules of the system must be changed to favor them, so they don't suffer loss any further?

Freebird,

the constitution was formulated to keep government in the hands of the wealthy and to keep the peasants in under the thumb.  It usually works - besides it had nothing to do with decency and honour - it was simply maintaining the status quo. And brain-dead fools are convinced if they help the rulers they might become part of the inner circle.  The inner circle exploit this and snigger about it behind closed doors.

You are part of the brain-dead ranks who is secretly mocked.

a derath of ignorance.

Whether the constitution was formulated to do that or not, it has done it. Under both democrats and republicans, perhaps just a bit faster under republicans.

The rich get richer, the corporations own the politicians who need their billions to run a campaign.  War will continue because it is profitable, and the longevity of the masses will cost the rich way too much in SS and medicare so it is not in their best interest.   The best interest of the top 1% is that you work and pay tases until you retire and die (preferable on the same day).   The only reasonable conclusion is that this process happens more slowly under democrats, but it happens under them both.

Rome will fall unless that changes.

So what do you propose Skw, communism with liberals in charge. I agree that the rich do get richer because of crony capitalism. However the rich tend to be predominantly liberal too. The top riches men in the world are all liberals. Look at the all the tech company billionaires. who misuse there power and money to censor the speech of conservatives.

The best way to eliminate crony capitalism is term limits.
