We Now Have the Wayback Machine!

Let's pretend that someone actually invented a "wayback" machine. You can go back in time and change what-ever you like. How many liberals would have slavery outlawed globally before the first white settler arrived?

  • NO slavery in the Americas
  • Bring the manpower we need

There is no slavery today to oppose.

Actually there is still slavery, even in American. It is called human trafficking. But liberals would rather dwell on the past than do anything about it because underage teenagers can't vote for Democrats.

It must be your total ignorance that helps you be that racist. Because racism does not stand up well to information and knowledge.

Let's not forget, slavery wouldn't exist if not for your brethren selling blacks to into slavery. Its like drug abuse. Who do you blame the most, the drug user or the one who supplies the drugs.

But if you are decedent of American slavery today I think you would have to acknowlege that hundreds of thousands of white people died to free your ungrateful asses. That is if you are ignorant enough to believe what Yankee history books teach us that the Civil War was fought to free the slaves. I mean think of where you would be today. Chances are you would be living in squalor, dying from aids, or starving to death waiting for the next shipment of food from America. You certainly wouldn't have an EBT card.

Really? So no Africans were stolen and kidnapped from Africa by Europeans? Can you post a link that supports this point?

Why were the Europeans in Africa anyway?

This is what I acknowledge. When Africa was depleted of its manpower for hundreds off years and then divided into countries by the Europeans for the benefit of Europe, colonized and pillaged for another hundred, it is no wonder that it is in the state that it is in now. Slavery from the 1600s to the 1800s. Colonization from the 1800s to the 1900s. Three hundred years. Maybe it will take that long to recover.

I don't know if you are ignorant or if you're a liar. Probably an unhealthy combination of both.

Nearly 2,000 people were arrested in fiscal year 2016 as a result of human trafficking investigations launched by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations branch. Last year's figures are the highest on record, according to a statement issued Monday evening.

In the seven years since former President Obama declared January the National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, HSI has tracked its efforts to tackle the underground industry. The number of arrestees for involvement in the illegal trade and exploitation of people for commercial gain has continued to rise.

Here's some more Bird

National Human Trafficking Awareness Day is observed annually on January 11.

Beginning in 2010, by Presidential Proclamation, each January has been designated National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month.   Following the start of National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, with the help of non-government organizations, National Human Trafficking Day began and is observed annually on January 11.

But let's see what Trump does with this. You know all he wants to do is undo everything Obama has done.

There is no slavery today to oppose. What the left opposes is the history of slavery in America and they want to erase it. You're not on the wrong side of history, it's that you want to punish this country for what was the norm around the world in the 1600's. Not all Americans who owned slaves, just the white ones.

You're on the wrong side of history because you believe the civil war was fought over slavery and that every member of the confederate army was a slave owner and or fully approved of the practice.
And more to the point, you weren't born here so that history isn't yours, you have your native country to bash for their role in slavery and for todays open racism. How many days of the week do you apologize for your ancestors and your home country?

A response that is wrong with every single sentence.  This is why this discussions are worthless.

I'm not wrong nate, I simply don't agree with you. Show me one leftie that has acknowledged that blacks owned slaves in America and are just as guilty as the whites.  Show me a country that didn't practice slavery, especially in the 1600's. And explain why skwan can bitch about Americas ancestors when his own ancestors allowed slavery. As usual with the left, they selectively pick facts that suit their agenda and ignore those that don't.
And if you want to discuss this, let's start with Anthony Johnson, the slaves he owned and his role in making it legal for indentured servants to become slaves for life. He was one of the first 20 blacks in this country and the first black to own slaves.

Of course there is still slavery<  It's not legal but we read about it every other week; especially forced prostitution.  Of course some blacks owned slaves.  so did native americans.  I don't want to speak for SKW.  My takeaway is that he does not deny slavery existed only morons would say that,  But, he is saying that honoring Confederat4e soldiers is wrong on two counte]s.  First they were traitors and undeserving of honor.  Second, the civil rwar was never states rights issues and always a slavery issue.  I agree with both of those stands and honestly feel everyone knows this to be true ieven if they cannot bring themselves to admit it.  Finally, my understanding of his position on neo=Nazis and white supremisists is that are pond scum rascists and anti equality anti democracy assholes.  Again, I agree.

The issue is not whether slavery existed,  The issue is whether those who fought for it should receive and accolades for having dine so as rascists and traitors.  We both say no.

In endlessly dragging debates over the nedia, the stupid opinion is treated with the same respect as the intelligent one, the misinformed may talk as long as the informed, and propaganda rides along with education, truth with falsehood. Herbert Marcuse

I don't know if you are ignorant or if you're a liar. Probably an unhealthy combination of both.

I must have forgot the chants of BLM, "What do want, dead sex traffickers. When do want them, NOW."

I suggest you look at the demographics of human trafficking. They are typically illegal aliens that came here because Democrats and Obama refused to enforce our immigration laws.

  • June 2016 — Aroldo Castillo- Serrano was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison for his part in smuggling Guatemalan workers, including minors, and making them work 12 hour days. They were forced to live in cramped conditions and were made to pay off a significant debt incurred by Castillo-Serrano. Ana Angelica Pedro Juan was also sentenced to 10 years in prison for her part in the operation.

  • January 2015 — Rafael Alberto Cardena-Sosa was sentenced to serve 15 years in prison for participating in a family run sex trafficking organization. His family member, Carmen Cadena, pleaded guilty and faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison. The two family members are responsible for luring young women and girls from Mexico and illegally smuggling them into the United States. They then imposed a smuggling debt and forced them into prostitution with physical force and death threats.

  • January 2015—Three brothers, Jorge, Ricardo and Leonel Estrada-Tepal pled guilty to sex trafficking charges. The Mexican nationals illegally transported females from Mexico to the United States and forced them to work as prostitutes in various cities. They face sentences ranging from a minimum of ten years behind bars to a maximum of life in prison.

  • September 2014—Charles Marquez was sentenced to life in federal prison for recruiting women in Mexico by placing an advertisement in Ciudad Juarez offering jobs in the United States. Once recruited, he harbored them in motels and forced them into prostitution. He worked with Martha Jimenez Sanchez who faces up to ten years in prison after pleading guilty. Sanchez was released on bond and is awaiting sentencing.

  • May 2013 — German Rolando Vicente-Sapon, an illegal alien, was sentenced to more than 15 years in federal prison for illegally smuggling and trafficking a 14 year old Guatemalan girl to Chattanooga, TN for $2,000 and coercing her into having sex. He will be deported after completing his prison sentence.

Human trafficking is done by individuals who are greedy and don't care who gets hurt.  Those people should be jailed.  If they did not try to bring in illegal aliens, the illegal aliens would not suffer.  Certainly not the fault of the regular person, but of people who don't give a hoot about other people.

The history of slavery in this country and around the world is well documented, no one has denied that history so your kudos to skwan are foolish and inane. I've posted numerous historical facts regarding slavery which the left simply ignores because it doesn't suit their narrative about evil racist whites.
When you choose to ignore facts and prefer to make up your own version of history there is no point in attempting a debate.

http://www.bonniebluepublishing.com/The%20Right%20of%20Secession.htm

The Right of Secession

by Gene Kizer, Jr.

There is no evidence that secession was illegal or prohibited by the Constitution, and in fact there is almost overwhelming evidence to the contrary, that secession was a legal, constitutionally sanctioned act. Historian Kenneth M. Stampp, in his book The Imperiled Union, maintains that it is impossible to say that secession was illegal because of the ambiguity of the original Constitution as to state sovereignty and the right of secession. He points out that "the case for state sovereignty and the constitutional right of secession had flourished for forty years before a comparable case for a perpetual Union had been devised," and even then its logic was "far from perfect because the Constitution and the debates over ratification were fraught
with ambiguity."1 It appears that the original intent of an unquestioned right of secession was established by the Founders, took root and "flourished for forty years," then later a "perpetual Union" counter-argument developed out of political necessity when Northern states began realizing their wealth and power was dependent on the Union and its exploitation of the South.

CIVIL WAR, ECONOMIC CAUSES OF (ISSUE)

The economic roots of the Civil War reach almost to the beginning of English settlement in North America. The development of an economy based on the use of slave labor to produce staple crops through a plantation system in the South and a more diverse economy in the North based on free labor set the stage for the development of two economies within one country. Increasingly after 1800 the needs of these two economies were incompatible.

Southern plantations focused initially on tobacco in Virginia, and later in Maryland and North Carolina, and rice, indigo, and livestock in South Carolina. Africans were the major source of labor after 1619 in the Chesapeake and the system of inherited life slavery developed in Virginia and Maryland by 1660 and quickly spread to the rest of the South.

In 1640 Anthony Johnson helped perpetuate inherited slavery by suing  his indentured servant John Casor and the british court ruled that indentured servants could become slaves for life. Another fact the left chooses to ignore because Johnson was a black slave owner. Johnson's first plantation was in VA, after it burned down he moved to MD with his wife, 4 children and slaves. So if you want to have an intellectual debate about slavery in America instead of an emotion based whine, lets start with the changes Johnson contributed to the system with the help of the british courts. The british courts that allowed slavery in America just like they allowed slavery in britain. The same british that named New York after their british queen slave trader.

After we debate the history of slavery under british rule. let's move on to 1776 and our founders ability to create this nation and abolish slavery at the same time. Are you open to an honest debate or do you want to stick with your "only a moron would deny slavery existed" stance?

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. - Thomas Jefferson Molon Labe

Answering the question only, my ancestry is from the south over 240 years of plantation life and slave holding, I can only assume I would have been right up there with it.
